{"id":9637,"date":"2026-08-28T10:54:20","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T13:54:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/museudoipiranga.org.br\/?p=9637"},"modified":"2026-08-28T11:00:38","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T14:00:38","slug":"guided-tours-september-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/museudoipiranga.org.br\/en\/visitas-mediadas-setembro-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Guided tours from September 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In September, the Ipiranga Museum hosts a visit. <\/span><b>\u201c&quot;Independence celebrated in monuments and images&quot;\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which invites the public to reflect on the different ways of representing and celebrating the Independence and history of Brazil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Along the route, the monument-building itself and works featured in the exhibitions <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To Understand the Museum<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> e <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A history of Brazil<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> They help to discuss how monuments, paintings, and sculptures are also documents of the period in which they were produced.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among the examples discussed are representations of Dom Pedro I, the bandeirantes (Brazilian explorers), and figures such as Maria Quit\u00e9ria and Maria Leopoldina, in addition to paintings. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Independence or Death!<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, by Pedro Am\u00e9rico.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim is to observe the choices made in constructing these images and to understand the values and societal projects they express.
