Ipiranga Museum

Shared stories

The Museu Paulista of USP was built (and continues to be built) by many people: researchers, educators, conservators, technicians, service teams, security, cleaning, maintenance, workers, and so many other professionals. All contributed to the Museum fulfilling its public mission.

Some stayed for decades, others for shorter periods. Each participated in building the institution in different ways and was also transformed by it.

It is precisely this encounter between individual trajectories and the institution that... Shared stories: voices that make up the Paulista Museum Celebrates. Created in the context of the 130th anniversary celebrations of the opening of the Ipiranga Museum to the public, the project captures the human dimension, which does not always appear in shop windows or official documents.

By bringing together accounts from collaborators of the Ipiranga Museum, the Republican Convention Museum of Itu, the Paulista Museum Support Foundation, and outsourced teams, the initiative presents stories about the bonds, affections, challenges, sense of belonging, and transformations experienced by the Museum.

May these stories serve simultaneously as a record, a tribute, and an invitation to get to know the Museum through the voices of those who make it happen.
