Ipiranga Museum

Publics
inclusive

The Ipiranga Museum has a strong commitment to promoting qualified access and participation of diverse groups in its spaces and discussions. To this end, in addition to developing various accessibility resources, it establishes partnerships and offers educational programs aimed at people with disabilities, the elderly, people in situations of social vulnerability, and others.

In this way, visiting hours are made available specifically for these audiences, with educators who dedicate themselves particularly to preparing proposals that consider their specificities and educational needs. During the visits, approaches based on the use of multisensory resources available in the exhibition spaces or offered by the Museum staff are used, such as audio guides with audio description and video guides in Libras (Brazilian Sign Language). In addition, training courses are offered aimed at professionals in social assistance, health institutions, non-governmental organizations, among others, who are interested in approaching themes related to cultural heritage in their fields of work. The activities are publicized in the programming section and on our social networks.

The Program also includes actions to connect with audiences in the Ipiranga area and surrounding neighborhoods, seeking to create channels of communication with the community surrounding the Museum in order to establish dialogues about the appreciation of the cultural heritage of the territory in which it is located.
