The guided tours offered by the Ipiranga Museum's educational program encourage dialogue, critical reflection, and active participation. Activities will be available in both the permanent and temporary exhibitions. The tours propose different ways of engaging with the artworks and historical narratives, valuing multiple perspectives and promoting connections between past and present.
Guided tours of the temporary exhibition
Guided tours of the temporary exhibition offer the public an encounter with the works of Jean-Baptiste Debret, a French artist who portrayed Brazil in the 19th century. From a contemporary perspective, the exhibition invites the public to revisit these images and reflect on the colonial vision present in his works.
Organized into three sections, the exhibition also presents Debret's legacy from the perspective of a vibrant generation of contemporary artists, who articulate different interpretations and approaches to his works.
