On March 28th, the Ipiranga Museum will hold a colloquium. “"Contemporary artists and Debret's colonial archive"”, a meeting that brings together researchers, curators, and artists to reflect on the continuities and disputes surrounding colonial archives and their reinterpretations in contemporary art.
Throughout the day, the public will be able to attend panel discussions, conferences, and a conversation with artists who have stood out for challenging historical narratives and proposing new interpretations of memory, violence, erasure, and resistance. The closing event will feature... launch of the exhibition catalog, followed by an autograph session with the curators and free distribution of copies.
