Inclusive audiences

Museu do Ipiranga has a strong responsibility to promote qualified access and participation of diverse groups to its spaces and discussions. To achieve this, the Museum not only provides different tools in the area of accessibility, but also establishes partnerships and offers educational proposals oriented to disabled people, the elderly, and people in situations of social vulnerability, among others.

Therefore, special visiting hours are offered for these audiences, with educators who are personally dedicated to preparing proposals that take into account specificities and educational needs. During the visits, actions are performed with multisensory resources available in the exhibition spaces or offered by the Museum staff, such as audio-guides with audio description and video-guides in Libras. In addition, training courses are offered to social assistance professionals, health institutions, non-governmental organizations, among others, who are interested in working with themes related to cultural heritage. The activities are published in the programming area and in our social media.

The Program also includes actions to approach the residents of Ipiranga and adjacent boroughs, attempting to create communication channels with the Museum’s neighborhoods and establish dialogues about valuing the cultural heritage of the institution’s territory.
